Magically old/dirty wine that is such an anomaly for where it comes, it's definitely such a unique terroir, a jewel in the midst of its surroundings... — 9 years ago
Strong, robust, spicy California grenache. I expected a fruit and oak bomb. It has a touch of vanilla, but otherwise this is an earthy, spicy anomaly. — 10 years ago
This wine is kind of an anomaly. Light and somewhat lean but super super smooth and round on the palate. While fruit and tannin are shy, the silky mouth feel wins me over. — 10 years ago
This bottle was much better than the last one. (Must have been anomaly). Leave it some time to open. It's in the zone. — 11 years ago

Amazing Italian wine restaurant that's been open a month in Copenhagen. Wines on the shelf are the same price at the table - an anomaly for Denmark (or any country for that matter!) — 10 years ago
Kind of an anomaly for Cobb wines in that reaches 14% abc, but one of the sexiest Ross Cobb made wines I've had. — 11 years ago
An anomaly. Drinking well. Classic. 13 pct. wonderful. But drinking well now. — 11 years ago
I've rated this earlier, but I'm thinking it may have been a poorly stored bottle or just an anomaly. This was an explosion of flavor — 9 years ago
This is an excellent rose at any price. The fact that it is so inexpensive is an anomaly that won't last. — 9 years ago
I like this a lot. Luscious dark bing cherries all the way. Rich fruity aroma with some spicy oaky dankness upon swirling. Opaque garnet halfway between violet and orangey red. Smooth and juicy on the palate. Velvety tannins finish very well with milk chocolate, sweet rich vanilla and baking spice notes that meld perfectly with the dark cherry. I don't know if this year is an anomaly, but I can find little wrong with this wine, and the tannins actually show some structure. I've never gotten more value or enjoyment for $11, no question. — 10 years ago
A perfect example of the excellent fruit that is grown in the Applegate Valley. Aged with incredible grace. — 10 years ago
An anomaly, the '12 Herman Story Pinot Noir 'Smash City' is one over-the-top Pinot that will stare down a spice-rubbed chargrilled steak without blinking. A 15.4% monster that throws gobs blueberry aromas and sweet fruit flavors. This 71 case effort by Russell P. From from the Murmur Vyd. in Santa Maria Valley will never be mistaken for a Burgundy. I'm so glad we flew to the Central Coast just to sample. — 11 years ago

Was not expecting how complex this is. The finish is wild. This drinks like a premier Cru champagne but not like you'd be fooled by it, just that much mineral intensity and depth. Really transcending the terroir and varietal. This wine is some kind of anomaly of a character. I hope to cross paths with it again soon. Will buy lots. — 8 years ago
