2016 vintage, purchased it based on previous year's reviews. GO purchase under $5. Wow, I will buy a case & age it for 4-7 years. There's tropical fruit and Alsatian minerals somewhere hiding. Would love to see what this vineyard could do with a late harvest Chenin Blanc from Oregon or Wa. Frizzante was an unexpected, yet appreciated touch. — 8 years ago
Impressive for Lufthansa to serve this independent Champagne in their first class! — 9 years ago
Very light and refreshing — 10 years ago
Mature flavors of roasted cashews and hazelnuts. With some salty, Sherry-like elements too. Excellent eye-opener with the full Easter brunch spread — 10 years ago
Just what I was looking for in a rose at that price point. It could be a little drier but it was lovely on a warm French Alps day — 11 years ago
Joyful, forward, and embracing. Notes of apple, pear, green grapes, with the warm finish of honey and lingering lemon. In the winter months, this is perfect at the tail end of a Slavic-themed meal. Salted fish, preserved tomatoes, potatoes, pickled cabbage, beet salad, and a luscious chocolate cake to finish. Versatile, and perfect for year round enjoyment. — 11 years ago

Helped greatly by the Stelvin closure, no doubt - Fresh, lively and nuanced at 10 years of age. — 8 years ago
Surprising. Fruit-forward but not overwhelming, nice tannic balance, low-medium acid. — 8 years ago
2012 Vintage, the essence and depth of a good quality Pinot. Loved it. — 9 years ago
2014 vintage. Honeycomb, green pear, yellow apple, honeysuckle, wet rocks. High acid at first, as is typical of the vintage, but mellows out a bit the next day. Good Merkelbach typicity. Always love these guys and their elegantly restrained style. — 10 years ago
This is a thing around here these days. That's cool though. Anytime fellas. Anytime. — 11 years ago

Banshee Wines was founded by 3 friends Noah Dorrance, Baron Ziegler, and Steve Graf who shared a lifelong dream of owning their own winery. Their first vintage of Pinot Noir, produced in 2009 was sold out in 3 months. Deep color with red berry fruit aromas and notes of sweet floral scents. On the palate ripe red plum, currant and cherry flavors with complex spice. Smooth tannins balanced well with vivid acidity, lingering ending with a mineral character. Nice value. @Erika yeah I bought several different vineyards from them when the 12' allocations were released, just don't recall seeing that one avail at the time, delicious grand cru blanc de blancs — 11 years ago
A beautifully aged riesling. Very gentile, bright fruit aromas that grow over time. Striking acidity is balanced by just a little remaining residual sugar. Flavors of citrus fruit with lots of minerality. Medium, gentile finish. — 12 years ago
Very traditional wine! Elegant and refreshing. — 13 years ago

White truffle and biscuity yeast-ness. Brioche, lemon and cooked lime, clean floral reminiscent of magnolia, but much less pungent. Immediate lemon curd, lemon zest and pith atop the aforementioned brioche, and a chalky minerality to the texture. Nice, sustained resonance of pomelo and lime. — 7 years ago
