Very deep purple color with ruby hues. On the nose: a bit of minerals, dark red fruit jam and pepper. Taste: medium tannins, a bit dry with hints of dried black cherries, plum and cracked black pepper. Good value. — 10 years ago
Ripe but has the body to age a few years. Bomb. — 10 years ago

The 2001 Hirsch Vineyards "Donnie" Pinot Noir - a never released bottling made for us by Donnie Schatzberg of Precious Mtn Vyd. Only 50cs made. Absolutely singing and lively, despite being made in a barn with zero technology! — 13 years ago

This wine is truly magnificent. Vanilla, barn yard, and cherry notes. Nicely balanced, full-bodied, great finish. This wine will evolve very nicely in 5 to 10 years. — 10 years ago

Tastes of yellow seed grass with hints of plastic. Fantastic! The flavour is beyond delectable. It just tickles my fancy like no other. It swims down your throat like a yellowfin tuna swimming downstream the St. Lawrence River. Sometimes i dream of this wine while watching the stars on my private island. — 11 years ago
Everything I love in a wine! Barn yard, leather, mushrooms and hints of pepper. — 12 years ago

Earthy dirt floor mustiness. Wonderful legs. Spicy barn and oak. Smoked salt like cured meat. Smooth and comfy like a soft blanket. Tannins but not super astringent. Great structure. Amazing last. — 10 years ago
