Sweet black cherry liqueur on the first glass (after one, the liqueur effect begins to fade), ripe cranberry, raspberry, cooked rhubarb, black & red licorice together, dry cranberry, tar, black earth, minerals and smoked meats. Baking spices; cinnamon, vanilla. Sticky resolved tannins that coat your mid plate. Woody with tobacco leaf. Enjoy with a steak or good meat sauce with or without truffles. Drink now and for at least another 10-15 years. Perhaps, even beyond. Think the score could inch up to a 9.6 with some additional aging.

Dusty road, old barnyard, dried floral, blackberries. Starts off soft and layers build and build to good tannins that stick.

Always a favorite! Splendid tannins that will melt with red meat and protein. Beautiful bouquet of oak and cherry on the nose. Delightful hue of maroon!

I wanna bathe in it. Smells like wilted violets, Mendocino fog and dried sour cherries.

Dark red brick color with complex, and expressive blackberry, dried rose, tar, mushroom aromas. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, well balanced and focused with a silken texture and chewy tannins with red fruit, sweet spice, and leather flavors and a bit of minerality. Long finish. The wine was aged in French oak casks (70%) and smaller French oak barrels (30%) 14% alcohol. #OTBN
