If one person in the relationship likes salinity and minerality and reads The New Yorker. And the other likes perfumey but still dry whites and reads The Economist. Well this is your wine. Cloudy/unfined. Unripe peach, honeysuckle, and salt. — a month ago

DUFRY/SP - Março/2023 — 3 months ago
Fruit sourced from three young, cool vineyards, Arborina and Gattera in La Morra and Castelletto in Monforte d'Alba, Ruby red with a bouquet of dark fruit, spices, leather and licorice. On the palate flavors of sour black cherry and plum with notes of pepper, smoky tobacco, vanilla and oak. Long finish, nice balance with fine drying tannins, savory edges, ending with earthy mineral notes. Good now! — 11 days ago
Nose is heavy tobacco with some leather. Very dry. Gina said rawhide leather. Licorice finish. Dirty, funky and earthy…good! Lots of charcter. — a day ago
A bargain-priced Nebbiolo (Spanna) from northern Piemonte. Nose takes a while to get going but then shows earthy macerated cherry and leather. Full in the mouth. Deep whack of fruit initially, then the tannins come on, and finally the finish tapers into a tail of dry cherry extract. Not the deepest or most complex but nice on a budget and can age a few years. — 4 months ago
Opened at 1 PM, started pouring into quite inappropriate glassware at 7PM.
Big shouldered, round, lots of carob hinting at dry cocoa, dark fruits. Tannins well integrated, many of the ‘16’s seem to be. Mouth filling. With protein very very nice. Brisket & lamb. Brown, blue and ochre on the nose and palate. A good number of years left I think.
No hint of over toast or barrel.
Very nice, especially with a varied long meal. long finish. — 12 days ago

Medium Ruby red color with aromas of red & black fruit, spices, floral and cedar. On the palate flavors of sour cherry and raspberry with notes of pepper, smoky tobacco, vanilla and oak.
