2011 vintage. Roses, truffle, raspberry, vanilla, scented powder on the nose. The palate added licorice, coffee and chocolate mint with added intensity. Big and tannic wine that definitely needs more time in bottle. Delicious and lingering finish.

Decanted for 60 minutes. Really opened up nicely, the aromas blossomed and are so enticing. This is a traditional old school style barolo. Very good.

A nice snow day wine to pair with pizza
Aromas of leather, and tar. More tar and leather on the palate along with strawberries.
Decanted for 2 hrs. Still young and needs more time. Tannins are still prominent.
