Original price tag, this Crozes-Hermitage is really remarkable (I believe La Guiraude is a special cuvée?), meaty, smoky, classic aged French Syrah, long finish, amazingly this was the most ready to drink of these wines I’ve been posting tonight, and the favorite of at least one of our 6 tasters tonight!! With all that said, if anyone has bottles of this wine, it’s fully mature. — 4 months ago

Drinking beautifully! At its apogee, wafting a spiced red fruit, black tea and potpourri perfume with a generously structured but ethereal palate, fine grained tannins and superb persistence. Very expressive and in a great spot. — 4 months ago

Was going to get the 2016 given I generally love that vintage across much of Europe but the somm talked me into the 2015 saying it was more open. He was right - this was delicious, and still traditional and “old school” with a restrained 13.5%. Tons of pepper and dark dark fruit with some olive. Very delicious with nice medium acid and a long finish. — 4 years ago
