High acid for. an Aglianco. Green pepper and earth. Beautiful. — 3 years ago
Dark and smoky, the 2013 Cretarossa shows ashen stone, blackberries, sage, underbrush and a spritz of tangerine. It’s silky in texture yet lifted and elegant, with a wave of black fruits coasting along a saline core of acids and minerals. Energy remains high throughout the grippy tannins. $25.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, November 2021) — 4 years ago
Pale pink color with orange highlights. Aromas and flavors of unripe peach, wild strawberries, raspberries, red flowers, rhubarb, blood orange, honey and red currants. Pleasant earthy/mineral component on the long finish. Fresh acidity and round mouthfeel. Best when chilled. — 10 months ago
100% Aglianico. Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas and flavors of plum, black cherry, tobacco, dark chocolate, graphite and freshly turned soil. Touch of pepper spice on the finish. Bright acidity and very firm tannins. Bone dry. Best with food. Give this one a decant. — 2 years ago

Dark ruby/purple color with a slight garnet rim. Aromas of ripe black berry/currant fruit, ash, smoke and leather. Sour red and black cherry fruit on the palate with additional notes of figs, black olives, woody herbs and black pepper spice. Nice hint of charred oak on the medium-plus finish. Well balanced and powerful. Better as it opened up so give this wine a decant. Solid QPR. — 7 months ago
