This sweetheart needed a good hour to open up to me. Very nice fruit (strawberries and blackberries), spices, licorice, and tobacco leaf. Firm tannins- very good with a simple meal of grilled pork chops, asparagus, and little potatoes.

un buen productor como es Daniel Vollenweider. Los “Wolfer”, representan lo que sería un vino “Village” de la zona/pueblo de Wolf en Mosela. Este 2011, catado en 2020; presenta color dorado pálido, aun con algún destello verdoso. Potente nariz al inicio de Hidrocarburos, que se va suavizando y da paso a flores blancas, nectarinas y frutas tropicales. Persisten las notas a Petróleo o Keroseno.
En boca es un vino vertical, seco, gran acidez pero equilibrada, mineralidad. Corto.

un buen productor como es Daniel Vollenweider. Los “Goldgrube”, representan lo que sería un Grand Cru. Este 2012, catado en 2020; presenta bonito color dorado intenso. Potencia media en nariz, al inicio muchísimo de Hidrocarburos, que se va suavizando y da paso a flores blancas, nectarinas y frutas tropicales. En boca es un vino vertical, seco, con estructura, muy fresco, gran acidez pero equilibrada, mineralidad. Largo recorrido. Marida muy bien con Tartar de Salmón.

La Marescialla Barbera d'Asti 2016

Black cherry and violets commingle with red cherry lavender and raspberry in a clean, and enticing nose of fruit and flower. Blueberry, blackberry and cassis are extras, but this is not the fruit bomb the description conjures. There is something light, sunny and natural about the whole; wisps of sweet tobacco and vanilla blossom undulate on a forest and mushroom motif that feels springy, panoramic and breezy. The palate boasts dried cranberries, tangy raspberry and plump black cherry. Thyme a cinnamon dusting and the aforementioned tobacco, now a fine, smoky cigar. This one is gorgeous, and a testament to the estate. Ripe and juicy, but the oak is in check. Bravo! .
