Acidity Trip

Trimbach

Cuvée Frédéric Emile Alsace Riesling 2011

From a magnum. Still super young - racing acidity and clean mineral finish. — 4 years ago

Château Guiraud

Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend

Pronounced aromas of orange blossom, marmalade, apricot on the nose. Expected the acidity to counterbalance the sweetness better. Felt a little too “heavy” for me. Not bad for $49 for 750ml bottle. — 8 years ago

Produttori del Barbaresco

Barbaresco Nebbiolo

Not the most fragrant Nebbiolo, but has focused sour cherries typifying it with balanced acidity. — 10 years ago

Hirsch Vineyards

San Andreas Fault Pinot Noir

This is the Pinot noir, but new to this app and don't know how to change. Any suggestions? Nice bright acidity to this wine by the way — 11 years ago

Fattoria di Fèlsina Berardenga

Riserva Rancia Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2013

Color of dark yet clear burgundy with bloody red in the rim. Nose is beauty with black currant and raisins, oak, polished alcohol, refined acidity, and dried strawberries. Taste is dry with powerful tannins and balsamic vinegar, some vanilla or strawberries ice cream, a bit savory spice, peppery, ripe cherry, dense flavors. Aftertaste is medium long and tasty with peppery taste in the throat. Very enjoyable. — 8 years ago

Taittinger

Comtes de Champagne Grand Crus Brut Blanc de Blancs 1966

Looks almost rose. Quite dark. Tiny bubbles, very gentle. Glorious nose of resolved pinkish fruit. On the palate a beautiful strawberry soft and precise mid palate with delicate acidity. Long and phenomenal. — 9 years ago
