Schist, loess, alluvial. Tart red cherry, steeped tea leaves, finished slightly sweet. Med acid, med fine grained tannins. Med+ intensity/finish. Citrusy, native yeast, fermented in vineyard. Blend of Abel, MV6, Dijon clones. 23% whole cluster, 24% new oak. Citrus - blood orange!! — 6 years ago
Mid crimson in colour. Blueberry on nose and palate showing the 72% Mataro. Nice pulpy fruit with bitterness. Light to medium bodied. I would prefer to drink this now at 5 years rather than cellar further. A cult Barossa cuvée made by Abel Gibson who makes light and fresh Barossa Shiraz with less oak influence than the norm. Amazingly the lightest empty bottle I have seen compared to the Primitivo which was ridiculously heavy. Had another bottle 42 weeks later on 27th May 2019. Notes of cherry cola on nose and palate with a bitter twist at the finish like Plum skins. Low tannins and low acid - certainly not built for cellaring. Drink now. 1 bottle left. — 7 years ago

Not what I expected. Dark in color. Way to dark to be from oak so probably caramel. Also a distinct but not sickly sweetness. I don’t think one really can rate something like this. It was wonderful to drink b — 7 years ago

Love it! Soft, fine bubbles , with a caramel finish. Dry but not ‘werscht’. Very surprised as a last minute grab from M&S. — 8 years ago
Limited edition of 1,090 bottles! @ €107 & unusual 14.5% ABV for Rioja! It’s a good bottle but not worthy of its hefty price tag 😁 Will age much longer which may reward!
