Light and delicious (I don’t know wine vocabulary very well but I do have good taste) — 8 years ago
— 8 years ago

Haven’t had a Lagrein in quite some time.
This is typically dark both in colour & flavour with fresh, ripe blueberries & huckleberries, some dark plums and a healthy pinch of exotic spice - anise, allspice, cardamom, black pepper.
On the palate this is silky & plush yet with vibrant acidity and nice juicy tannins. Good weight & length, with the wood perfectly integrated & showing a nice backdrop to the ripe fruit.
A lovely wine. — 5 years ago

Great with spaghetti bolognese. Once again, this Augustinian abbey does not disappoint. — 7 years ago
This wine is really interesting. Normally, I love gruner veltliner, but I’ve never had one from Italy. This tastes more like a really good riesling than most gruners (not that this is a bad thing). — 8 years ago
Really good classic orange wine from Italy. Very tangy. Could be funkier but also I had a cold when I drank it. A tad pricey. — 5 years ago
Good Italian - buy again — 6 years ago

Delicious crisp and dry — 8 years ago
17$ from a PA liquor store; last bottle on the shelf; wifey’s choice. A fascinating bottle.m, because the wine is made of Zwigelt, a predominantly Austrian grape, yet grown in the northeast of Italy. Nose: tight blueberries and raspberries, funk, and star anise+cloves; palate, super fruit forward in a great way, juicy, seductive with initially tight tannins; finish: long and dry and a bit medicinal.
