Just wonderful. Full of flavor of fruits and minerals, w/out out oak or butter. Very drinkable, and makes you think after each mouthful "what new flavor is that"... — 10 years ago
Favorite white I have found yet. — 13 years ago
More Margaret River tonight - just couldn't get enough. I will say this: particularly, this wine is not for the Barossa fan. It is more of a Crozes Hermitage kinda wine with more acidity, softer and fresher fruit, and floral qualities.
👃damp red fruit, fresh rosemary and basil herbs, anise, red flowers
👅raspberry, black and green peppercorn, herbes de Provence, red apple skin, red plum
Fresher fruit forwardness than Crozes Heritage, but super similar. Margaret River is very French in style. — 8 years ago
One of my favorites. Had another bottle of this Pinot Noir (69%) and Chardonnay (31%), blend which spent four years on the yeast. Tiny bubbles with stone fruit aromas and rich baking dough. The palate shows apples and citrus tones with a nutty flavor, time seems to intensify the wine as I had this 6 mos ago. The bubbly had good length on the rich and creamy finish, dry with plenty of yeasty notes. Nice! — 9 years ago
I don't know if this really feels like Miles to me, but don't let that dissuade you. A fun sparkling wine with interesting complexity from a unique area and grapes. Fiano and Aglianico (what?) bring a fruity notes likes peach and maybe even some sour cherry or strawberry? Or is that just my mind thinking about the Aglianico? Some unique herbal notes, perhaps oregano or rosemary, not 'green'. Finishes dry with a polite bit of chalky minerality. This is my kind of bubbles, though I know I'm a heretic when it comes to sparkling. — 10 years ago

My last 2011 bottle. The estate of Sette Ponti lies in the heart of the Chianti zone, 15 miles northwest of the city of Arezzo, past the village of San Giustino Valdarno. Crognolo, aged in French Allier barriques, deep red with red fruit aromas and sweet perfumed spice. On the palate raspberry and cherry flavors, gentle spice and soft tannins with great mouthfeel. Good balance, lingering finish ending with some oak and mineral tones. Aged well. — 8 years ago
Lots of air miles on this one... — 8 years ago
OMG!! What a sick bottle of wine this is.
Drinks like a Fine French Bordeaux!!!
Forest floor, earth, a little funk on the nose, very well structured and a phenomenal finish. If only I would have bought this for the release price of $69!!
