Toasted notes of caramel and space are intermingled with deep dark fruit flavors. — 8 years ago
Deep garnet red with lots of bricking on the edges. Light cassis and dark cherries on the nose with some tertiary notes like earthiness and damp leaves. Moderate tannins (6.5/10) and full bodied. Lots of complexity with light cassis and dark cherries, a little bit of tomato leaves and earthiness. Very well rounded and integrated with a long finish. This will only keep losing fruit and get earthier with time. Drink now. — 10 years ago

Surprise surprise balanced Syrah from Cali — 12 years ago
Thought we’d had our last bottle 4 years ago but then found this one. Probably better then, but still very nice. Definitely quite secondary, but the core of fruit and acid carries through. Wonderful pairing with dry aged strip steaks and wild mushroom risotto for our 10 year anniversary. — 9 months ago
One bourbon, one scotch and one beer. Therefore, wine doesn't go long. — 5 years ago

This is a very flavorful cabernet. I usually find them too dry for my taste, but the bourbon barrel aging has added subtle bourbon characteristics that make this appeal to me more than other cab-savs. This is a great find and I hope the winery continues making it. — 8 years ago
Uncomparable to anything I've drank before. Very savory and saline. Almost like drinking sea water. Acidity is medium. Not much on the citrus side but there are some almond notes. Interesting. — 9 years ago

Beautiful tempranillo led wine with 10% graciano from one of the benchmark vintages in the past 25 years. This Gran Reserva has legs for the long run but perfectly approachable now! — 8 months ago
