Haven't explored this producer for a while.
ZD has always possessed a very distinctive tasting profile, which I like. It's mineral driven with chalk, delicate yeast and roasted nuts overtones. Palette is wood driven with marzipan, coconut and citrus fruits. It has a luscious mouthfeel. The finish is rich and persistent. This is an excellent chard. However, relative to this, their reserve is a one-way ratchet in a positive direction.

Will be available September 1! Aromas of juicy pineapple, guava and lemon zest mingle with notes of sweet vanilla and honeysuckle. The palate is round, full bodied and boasts a core of bright tropical fruit balanced by natural acidity.

Tasting through Chardonnays for the Fall. Just the right amount of acidity balanced with rigorously balanced oak and vanilla and a touch of pie crust. Fantastic.
