This producer does such a great job with Sylvaner. Sweet pea shoots, intense mineral, and some green apple fruit on the nose. The palate has a softness and depth that is unexpected for this grape, at least by me, with lovely mineral/ herbal flavors and nice acid. Lengthy finish shows a little bitterish note towards the end.

Awesome nose. Sprite of spring! Herbals, vegetables, rocks, lanolin, so expressive. Lemon pith. Palate has insane energy and density while being light and fresh with tremendous sap and depth. So juicy and silky with a very long finish. Excellent balance. So so long.

I can’t rate this, I still don’t really have any sense of smell or taste. I had the virus. This wine is excellent, and I didn’t even mean to crack it, I was reaching for a different bottle of weltner and grabbed this and opened it before I realized. It’s got lots of texture, spice, and bite, and a good bitterness on the finish that I find in Sylvaners and Pinot blancs. I wish I could tell you more about it but I don’t have the senses for it.
