Gorgeous nose of complex spice and deep mid season cherry fruit. Tremendous aromas here. They keep leveling up. Insanely floral and so supple. Really just screams out of the glass but also is subtle and supple. Incredible mineral background here. Wow this is so juicy, nimble and ethereal. Tremendous fruit and sap. Superb concentration and purity. Racy and energetic this screams “Red Riesling!” Wow this is as good as I remember. Fruit is gaining sweetness as this airs and my goodness how focused and nimble this is and the wonderful ripe tannins. Drinking so well now but better in 3 years. Now with air the nose is killing it. Insane florals and the cherries are getting darker. Not quite black but man they are right on the edge. Gorgeous clarity here. Palate picks up acid and grip. And structure.

What a nose. Ripe cherry and raspberry. Iodine? Gorgeous aromas. Iron. Sandstone. Really tangy, fresh, early season cherries. Love the intensity. But so silky and the fruit is all early season. This is so unique. Stunning. So engaging.

Pop and pour, notes from 24 hrs open. My last btl was definitely flawed. Thankfully, this btl is not. On the nose: like an alpine valley, with woodsy earth and loads of black pepper, soft red fruit. On the palate: vibrant acidity, loads of mineral and savory notes, chicory, licorice, black raspberry, and velvety tannin on the juicy finish. This showed more fruit and perfume up front on Day 1 open, but a fascinating evolution.

Very tannic. I think this is overoaked. Tumeric, hint cardamom, crushed marble fruit does not come through.

Pop and ppur yesterday. Notes from Day 2 open. On the nose: toasty sawdust and musty red fruit. On the palate: woody bitterness, mothball, and loads of grainy tannin. Better on opening. Disappointing otherwise.
