Really pretty. Dark berries, fennel bulb, earth, dried herbs and good acid. Went great with lasagna.

Early ripening Bordeaux Blend of 51% Merlot, 31% Cab Franc, 17% Cab Sauv & 1% Petit Verdot. Dark Ruby with aromas of rich berry fruits with notes of spice, herb and forest floor. On the palate flavors of ripe blackberry and cherry with cinnamon and mushroom. Soft fine tannins, rich mouthfeel well balanced with vivid acidity. Long finish ending with fruit, cedar and tobacco. Will benefit from some short term aging, Nice value!!

Il Fauno 2016 51% #merlot, 31% #cabernetfranc, 17% #cabernetsauvignon and 1% #petitverdot . Delicious, ageworthy #toscanaigt blend. Pretty tight after opening, a day later, black and blue berry notes unfurl alongside tobacco, toasted coconut, tilled earth, and vanilla notes on nose. Bright acidity on palate, rich texture and some chewy tannins on the finish that build and linger on the tongue. Overall I’m digging the balance and richness but a bit too much vanilla / toast notes from new oak.

2016 vintage.
51 % Merlot, 31% Cab Franc, 17% Cab Sauv, and 1% Petit Verdot.
Dark ruby red with aromas of ripe black fruit, nutmeg, cedar and mushrooms Rich, ripe plum and raspberry with milk chocolate and smooth tannins. This wine is so easy to drink now but will age beautifully. Great value.

Robust, dry, leathery notes of raspberry, cherry, cigar, smoke, plum, & tar. Sweatery. Red fruit pie. Medium-plus acidity. Starts thin and underwhelming and finishes bold & tannic.

The whole super Tuscan description is bullshit. Tuscan, yes. Sangiovese? No. Who cares? Merlot (velvet) and cab franc (tannic) with cab sauv and petit Verdot makes for really nice wine. Italians do merlot well.
