Crios Torrontés

Will probably never be a wine that I enjoy, but perfect example.

Flinty and gunsmoke aromas balanced by lees richness and hints of phenolic.

This classic unoaked Torrontés, made from grapes harvested very early, offers scents of lemon, fresh apricot, flowers and lichee and a salty, sappy, very dry palate impression that reminded me of Chablis. It should make a terrific aperitif but could also pair well with grilled fish or sushi. (Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2018)

Aromatic. Floral, gardenia. Crisp green apple, tangerine and musk. M acid and body. Lemon and orange zest. M+ finish.

Classic blinder

Easy drink. More suitable to be a table wine. Light delicate finish. Not too great.

Really unique aroma and taste. Buttery/oaky well rounded with great fruity and floral notes

This was such a surprise! I'm not as picky about white wine as with red, so when this was on sale I thought "why not?" It's light and bright but not wimpy, perfect for warm weather. The surprise came with the first sip, which sent all kinds of happy floral and fruit notes dancing around my mouth. The same thing happened when I poured a glass the second night. I think I better grab another while it's still on sale!
