Textbook Storybook style. Lovely nose with ripe ... but not too ripe ... blackberry, sandalwood smoke-kissed gravel, and baking spice. Restrained but concentrated in the mouth, with a reserved tightness behind the soft texture, suggesting a long life. Flavors combine fruit, savory notes, and dry gravelly notes. Big, but elegant. Love it.

Quite a stunner! If it was blind, the structure and texture would make me think top flight Bordeaux. These wines drink unlike any other Zinfandel, light oak on the nose, great acidity and elegance galore. Considering their losses in the Tubs Fire, let’s all buy some Storybook and support this fantastic producer!
