Again it is Friday everyone! I feel like a Pinot and I am trying the Sonoma Coast 2012 Schug Pinot Noir. I am loving the nose which brings out a bit of funk, cherry juice, cranberries and dusty soil. On the palate the cherry continues with spicy flavors and small nuances of cranberry. There is a nice acidity and a long finish I like very much. I bought this at $19.99 which makes it a should buy.

Taste like chemicals... Very disappointing for this price. Don't waste your money on this one

An honest Pinot Noir (100%) for a value price. This was just released which shows promise for the 2012 vintage. This is good now and I imagine with a few more months of bottle age it will really show it's character.

The 2012 Schug Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is quite spicy, with cherry and cranberry fruit flavors and tangy acidity. It's sourced from vineyards in Carneros and Petaluma Gap and comes in around $20. This was a gift from a friend.

Schug Sonoma has a characteristic meaty cherry flavor that I love. With air the finish becomes wonderfully briary. Such a pleasure to return to this old favorite.
