Black cherry, raspberry, eucalyptus, mossy earth, oak and hints of licorice. Good structure and well-integrated tannins.

The fruit was a bit tart and the oak was on the woody side. Decent Pinot but would not buy again.

Both schug pinot noirs are wonderful expressions of old world meeting new world. This Carneros is the food wine, were the Sonoma is for all the peeps all the time. The Carneros is a touch more old world and is definitely made to pair with food.
