Napa Valley Merlot

Very nice Merlot. Silky. Ready to drink. Best of tasting in this Keenan flight. Revisited 9/23/18 - rating affirmed.

Silky, delicious warm red fruit and cocoa powder. Medium tannins and finish. Solid.

A solid merlot and very good but clearly second place tonight based on price alone at $33. Smooth cherry plum raspberry and tobacco.

This Merlot is like an old friend who drops in and reminds you how great it is to catch up. Nice hint of chocolate, black berries, subtle tones of vanilla. After a glass, you can’t help but say ‘Hello old friend!’

A bit disappointed with the 2014. This has always been a favorite of ours but it was too sharp and the acid too strong. It was hard to taste the flavors due to the acidity. It was too overpowering.
