Who knew a Ridge Chardonnay could age so well...2010 shows such great depth and layers...virtual tasting with Ridge, tasted the 2018, 2017 and 2010. This score is for the 2010, one of the best New World Chardonnay’s I have tasted.

So glad our impressions from the tasting at the Lytton Springs tasting room was borne out over a year later. You probably haven’t had a #chardonnay like this. This vintage has a distinctive green curry leaf (Bergera koenigii) aroma, backed by dried pineapple, toasted almonds. There’s some weight on the palate, stone fruit, pear and hints of vanilla. Beautifully complex and paired wonderfully with heirloom Mexican corn tortilla tacos. #ridgevineyards

Rich and wonderfully reduced. A bit viscous, but otherwise this tends towards corton Charlemagne

Lost a lot of fruit, nearly sherry-like nuttyness that works with richer food
