A tasting of nine Rhys Chardonnays spanning 2007-2019. Great acid, still so fresh, Burg-like.

Almost 10 years on this and it can go another 10. A real wow wine.

My personal favorite in an '03-'13 Alpine Chard vertical. Svelte, minerally, salty. The '12 will become this with a few more years bottle age!

Ripe and clear. Slightly warm on the nose. Rich and ripe but precise. Very good.

Wonderful complexity, nimble and subtle and finely balanced, it is excellent now but has a bright future left.

Fruit forward just missing enough acid balance...Meyer lemon with nice mouthfeel.

2007 vintage. Just fantastic. Ready to go but no rush. Not as rich as later vintages.

Tighter and less flamboyant than the 2005 Jadot Corton-Charlemagne tasted with it, but it more than holds its own. A little smokey bacon on the nose leads to great minerality and subtle complexity, it opened up quite a bit with air and would benefit from decanting Very impressive.
