On the nose old leather, faded roses and wood with cherry notes. Bricking but a dense center. The palate is surprisingly intense given the ullage and soggy cork. Brambles, aged wood, sour cherry, garrigue. It has a moderate length with a tart finish. Probably better in the last century, but really nice now. Fascinating, and a testament to the age-worthiness of these wines.
