Dolcetto di Dogliani

Fruit forward nose, blackberry and plums, with a bit of dark chocolate. Good acid but smooth, lingering tannins. Yum!

Simple Dolcetto, lots of cherry in the nose. Lighter body but nice wine for NYE dinner with friends at Anthony’s/Haddon Heights

Red berry fruit with chalk, acidity, and astringent tannins. This is how it is shortly after opening. I wouldn’t be surprised if it softened some with more air. But the flavors seem pretty simple, and though it is already close to good balance, I don’t see it getting very complex. It’s a good table wine, which worked with salmon roasted with sesame seeds, rice, and stir fried vegetables.

Tangy fruit, cranberry and cherry, very tasty

Oh dope.

Warm leather and cool fruit. Round and ripe. No bitter tannins and a hint of earthy herbs. I know people like to call these baby Borolo’s, but this one is just a good table red.

So so but a ok weeknight dinner table wine option. Vanilla, Oak, Boysenberry with mild tannins. Weird taste lingers on pallet.

Earthy nose. Almost a carbonated mouthfeel with some gritty tannins. Cherries. Lots of cherries.
