Pale Gold in colour. A muted restrained nose initially from this excellent vintage for White Burgundy. Also restrained on the palate. Lacks intensity in comparison with local Chardonnay for similar money. I know this is at odds with my previous note 32 weeks ago but you can only taste them as you see them. I have had some particularly good Australian Chardonnays lately albeit a little dearer than this at $51 AUD. Nothing inherently wrong with this Burgundy it just doesn’t deliver much.

Saturday lunch at home with friends. All tasters very impressed with this Village Bourgogne from the 2014 vintage which was excellent for whites. Great intensity and tension for a village wine. Good minerality. No time for detailed notes. Went well with fresh Tasmanian oysters.

After the faulty botte 5 months ago, the wineshop owner replaced the bottle 👍
Nice nose with apricot, ripe peach, acacia blossom, nice fruity palate with the same fruit flavors, also some lemon, chalky mineral and spice, fine acidity, young but already drinking beautiful ! 91 DSP
