Big dose of VA on the nose. Full body, extracted, ripe fruit and aggressive tannins, with a lactic saltine cracker finish. Missing the expressiveness of some of the other Bea bottles I’ve tried.

I’ve heard there can be substantial bottle variation so will give this another try in a few years and hope the bottle was atypical of the bottling/vintage.

WHOAH!! First time ive tried Sagrantino...big bold, baked red/black fruits, acid solid, and tannins ultra high, hard to separate gums from teeth. Those savory notes and Italian VA, with black creatiing delicious wine with some food..
