14.9% abv just kills everything you want in Pinot Noir. Finish is purely alcoholic. I'd rather have a cocktail.

Somewhere in between the industrial strength Pahlmeyer style & a more delicate nature of the vintage. Crushed rose petal, toasty & slight resin note. Smooth, silky with good length.

Pinot noir. Much more stinky, smoky, and earthy than the Jayson. Layers of complex flavors.

Delicious. Absolutely delicious. Silky, complex, rose petals, cedar, sage...great balance.

Deep ruby going to garnet at this age. Can't see the stem standing over the glass. Nose surprisingly bright and new oak influence still being felt. While not a carbonic process you can feel the whole berry fermentation works well to great here.

2011. Slightly cloudy. Some nice earth and rose petal but the alcohol and acidity are too much, and there’s a Robitussin quality that’s hard to ignore.

Subdued, but dense nose of spiced rose petals and cola...rich layers of dark berries are seamless and leave a lasting finish...

Perhaps it was the vintage, but in rare fashion this wine did not live up to expectations. Overly acidic and slightly thin.
