Delicious grenache blend. After struggling with previous vintages this one is nicely integrated and well balanced.

History dates back to 1995 when on a lark, David Swift Phinney took a friend up on an offer & went to Florence, Italy to spend a semester “studying”. During that time, he was introduced to wine, how it was made, & got hooked. A Grenache, Syrah & Petite Sirah blend. Aromas of fresh ripe red fruits with floral & spice. On the palate flavors of cherry & raspberry with cacao & espresso notes on sweet savory soft tannins, well balanced, lingering finish ending with fruit & toasty oak. Nice! Consistent Quality!

Fleming’s steak house, Syrah and Zinfandel blend. Spicy, bold flavor. Looks like a full body and drinks like a medium. It parties.

Not as grenache fruit forward as other vintages, but
will purchase again due to the legacy of abstract swift wines. 2018 vintage.

I finally was able to try this one! Wonderful blend of Grenache, Petite Syrah, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep purple color. Dark cherry, blueberry and plum aromas and flavors but with a distinct herbal quality. Hints of leather, black coffee, baking spices and cedar. Long and pleasant finish. I know that Dave Phinney gets criticized for simply producing “fruit bombs,” but this wine is really balanced and beautiful. So nicely integrated for such a young wine.
