(95-98+) The score should go up as this was bottled recently and I was told by Christine Saahs it needs a few years to settle in to optimal drinking shape. So this should go higher but damn it was good, one of the best wines of the trip so far. This is aged for 16 years in large (neutral) Austrian oak casks. A powerfully, thundering Riesling this was electric and tense with the density to match. The nose was firm and intense but tight, hinting of some time needed to relax the tension in the wine. #riesling #nikolaihof #vinothek
