Excellent Chianti. Paired perfectly with homemade Neapolitan pizza. Best way to break in new pizza oven is with great wine and friends.

Right out of the bottle, that’s some dirty, bright, middle weight funk.
N: Briars, tar, tobacco, dark cherries buried in loam.
P: Bright! Acids up front, cherries in back, lots of terroir. Delicious. As it airs, those cherries really pop.

My go to Chianti tested side by side with the 18. The wines are getting a little pricy for what they are. The 2019 is more tannic and needs time to come together. It is really an excellent wine. Cherry 🍒 galore, bark, black tea, reminds me of a red burgundy.
