Choc, espresso, blueberries. Indicative of fruit characteristics throughout the range. Little more body than your average merlot, subtle underlying spice. $28: can not go wrong!

Deep ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Very fruity on the nose with black currants, plums, blackberries, licorice, chocolates, coffee, light bell pepper, coffee, leather, vanilla, violets, light alcohol and peppercorn.

Full bodied with medium plus acidity, rich and bold with long legs.

Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, bell pepper, cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, spices, chocolates, leather and lots of peppercorn.

Long finish with medium tannins and tart raspberries.

A great Merlot from McLaren Vale, Australia. Complex and interesting, with a big mouthfeel. Balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food.
This 2014 has much less alcohol (15% compared to the 17%).

Already drinking nicely and will improve in the next few years in the bottle.

I enjoyed it with assorted hard cheeses, appetizers and great company.

15% alcohol by volume.

Very unique Aussie Merlot. Fresh red fruit and blueberry with hints of peppercorns, chocolate, coffee and violets. Delicate, smooth and elegant. Soft tannins.

I was not a Merlot drinker until a Sommelier said “You never had a good one. I’ll make you love Merlot”

Choc and berry nose. Heavy extraction typical of this producer. Medium body fuller than expected for a pure Merlot. Good tannins but a bit too spicy/fruitcake for me but a nice easy bottle to drink and enjoy.
