Clos de los Siete Valle de Uco Malbec Blend

Blend of 50% Malbec, 24% Merlot, 11% Syrah, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby color with aromas of ripe berry fruits floral and spicy herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum fruit with spicy herb, cacao and toasty oak. Fine soft tannins, well balanced, good acidity, medium+ finish, almost creamy, ending with fruit and oak. Nice value!

Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Syrah, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc, 11 months in new and used barrels, deep Ruby color with aromas of berry fruits floral spicy herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry and juicy plum fruit with spicy herb, cacao and toasty oak. Fine soft tannins, well balanced, good acidity, long finish, almost creamy, ending with fruit & oak. Nice value!

A fairly ambitious Malbec blend with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. Dry on the palette with flavors of plum, blackberry, licorice, bitter tobacco, earth, coffee, with raisins and cherry Ludens on the finish. With each sip I can pick out every grape, if I try real hard. Quite tannic, and my 2nd glass will be in an hour or more, after it catches its breath.
A very enjoyable bargain!

NOSE: plum, tobacco, black cherry, earth…a little paint thinner.

TASTE: plum/cherry … not much different than the nose. Seems well made, but unimpressive for the price and reputation of the winemaker. 89.
