Popped and poured. The 2018 pours a light garnet with a transparent core. Medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, developing with a pretty bouquet of raspberry, strawberry, red flowers, a little tar, some herbs, some baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acids. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. Like many 2018’s, this shows the lighter, more aromatic side of Nebbiolo however, I find it no less enjoyable. This one simply lacks the power many come to expect. Drink now through 2038.

Medium body. Mineral and chalky on the nose. Dry and Smooth from sip to after taste. Hints of dark cherry when it opens up. Enjoyed with an artichoke and kalamata olive pasta.
