Killer Wine Night. Lineup of 17 wines. Tasted blind. Theme was Old World Killer “B” (the letter “B” has to be the first letter in one of the proper nouns in the wine e.g., region, varietal, type, winery name, etc.)
Wine 14. This was a treat upon reveal. Huge controversy over this. Most dumped. I thought it was past prime but totally drinkable. Plummy, and port-like. Graphite finish. I guessed 30 years; it’s almost 50.

This is beautiful and why I want to drink more Nebbiolo. Strawberry/Violets with sandalwood notes; lithe, nice balance and dusty tannins. Just a splendid bootle.

Way too young to explore, even when we finished the bottle. Still not breath enough! Deep ruby colour with blueberries, cedar, dark licorices but yes lack on structure.

Slighty young, but still a beast. There is something about Barolo's that are unlike any other wine. Love it.

2008 Vintage is beautiful once it opens. If we can't go to Italy just yet, Italy in Epcot is next best thing!
