Tenuta Luce Della Vite ‘Luce’ 2011: Medium-full bodied. Elegant structure & balance. Nicely integrated tannins. Dark fruits. Plum. Tobacco. Vanilla. Oak. Spice. Long velvety-rich finish. Consisting of grape varieties Sangiovese & Merlot, this Tuscan red blend was ripe, fresh & elegant. It was the perfect harmony of depth & purity of fruit. Open let this sit. It got better and better. Very tight and tannic when first opened. 1.5 hrs open starts to show fruit Blueberry. Vanilla mint/herb. Not getting as much cherry/mocha as would expect. Very good structure extra long finish.
