A really nice wine with Easter dinner. Aromas of chocolate, cherry, and leather. On the bud, cherry, plum, stewed fruits, earthy, and a mild spice note. Nice long finish.

Cherry, dark chocolate and raspberry. Lots of heft. Definitely more to come but early out of gate it’s still a worthy wine. Should revisit in five more years.

Good wine, QPR questionable. Red/black fruit, some unresolved oak, good acid, high tannin. Needs 5+ years. Great finish. Good with red meat.

Deep dark ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry. Blackberry, earth, and currants. On the palate, full bodied, cherry, chocolate, oak and vanilla. Medium to longer finish.

First flavors are a splash of cherry and orange. Then a smooth slide to spice, touch of leather and wood. Tight and restrained finish ending with a bright note.

On our second last day in Italy, we finally got to two showstoppers...
