This pours a thin tawny brown colour, dirty cherry, almost transparent, bordering on orange on the rim. A floral red fruited nose. Palate is just medium weight with mulchy strawberry flavours of medium plus intensity. Finishes dry with great length. Very impressive. See previous note from August 2024.

Oct 3rd, 2025Mid crimson. The reasonably pale colour belies the power on the palate of this Barolo (La Morra). An earthy tarry note - a touch of mint. Medium to full bodied palate finishing with fine dry persistent tannins. I will be interested to see how my remaining 2 bottles will turn out. Should confidentally see out the 2020’s.

A nice barolo. Juicy, but unyielding for the first hour or two before the cranberry licorice potpourri came out.

grande naso intenso ricco, complesso ti invoglia a bere subito. La bocca tradisce la sua giovinezza con tannini vivi e freschezza accentuata che si equilibreranno col tempo. Tutto sommato davvero una bella bottiglia.
