You know. Giving a wine a 9.2 is when I really liked it, definitely above average, but it wasn’t lifting me off the earth. Dark, heavy mineral, iron notes in layers of dry red fruit. Sagrantino! So unique. Only grown and made in Umbria. Reminds me when we were at a big dinner party in Umbria back in 2022, long tables, family style, lots of talking, laughing and … caught Covid 🥴.
