Santa Maria Valley Melon de Bourgogne

Ocean. Clean. Crisp. Good.

Yep. Still like this wine. Get it while it lasts.

Very much digging the 2022 vintage, which I heard is the last. Lemons and crushed shells, with a sweet citrus finish.

Lemons and oyster shells. Simple and good.

I’m told this is the last vintage of this wine as the vines will be torn up and replaced with Pinot Noir.

I hope the cost of land doesn’t kill experimentation and creativity in California. It’s wines like these that reveal special things.
