Barnyard funk and red and black fruit jams on the nose. Fruit forward on the palate featuring strawberry jam, charred meat, cranberry sauce, cinnamon, and oak. A bit stemmy, but that’s part the zin cluster charm. High alcohol, moderate plus tannin, and high acid. Excellent match with a bbq dinner.

Not nearly the syrupy fruit bomb you might expect from a zin. The fruit played second fiddle to a delightful earthy component, all delivered in a super smooth package. I thought it would pair well with a steak, but it ended up being better as a sipping wine after dinner.
