I like Joel Gott Cabs, but this Zin was a disappointment. Too light. Nothing distinctive. Hate to say it because I really like the other Gott wines that I’ve had.

Deep ruby/purple color. Aromas and flavors of cooked black(a bit jammy) and blue berry fruit with notes of baking spices, maple syrup and vanilla. The vanilla is very noticeable on the finish. Velvety tannins and reasonable acidity. Slightly lighter in body than I was expecting.

Kinda barn-y on the nose. Cherry. Burnt cherry? Flavor is ripe and jammy. Very berry-Licious. Not enough tannin nor acid to grip me.
