Joel Gott wines are always a solid choice for cheap libations. This decent SB is no exception. It has lemon-line citrus tones, but not so much as a New Zealand SB. There’s a bit of substance to the body, but not to the level of a California Chardonnay. It performs very nicely as intended, as a versatile food wine. We paired it with spicy chicken ramen, to beautiful results.

Pale lemon color with aromas of citrus and tropical fruit with herb floral notes. On the palate flavors of sour green apple and butter citrus fruit flavors with some grassy tones, lively acidity. The wine finished with herbs, grassy and mineral notes.
