222/7/7-8. This was perfectly lovely, with a nice mix of rounded sweetness and tension. No element stood out untowardly, and everything you would need was there in harmony. As the planet warms and prices soar ever higher, hope (at least for a little while) lies in appellations like these...

P/q +. Zeer frisse en zuivere witte bourgogne. Van een producent gelegen aan de D974 van Beaune naar Puligny. Niet zo complex als de naastgelegen appellations maar zeer interessant!

As soon as I tasted this wine Becky Wasserman’s voice from IDTT podcast rang ‘I’d much rather have a nice auxey-duresses blanc on the regular and nobody’s really enthusiastic about those wines’ ...this is a great example of why we should be looking to great producers like fichet to highlight lesser respected appellations like this. Excellent and even at $40 great value. Rating corresponds to price.
