A gloriously opulent and open nose. Plums, roses, violets, and mineral notes behind. A beautifully composed and succulent wine with lush fruit and great acidity- with secondary notes coming through. Excellent

This is a Beaujolais that you serve to naysayers. Complex aromatics of earth, iron, smoke and red fruit. Paves your mouth with minerals and tart fruits . Takes a slight detour on the finish but I believe that is due to the wine's structure and not a flaw. It will be fascinating to watch the remaining bottles develop over the next 5 to 8 years.

Loads of voluptuous sweet fruit, which may calm down for the better in years to come. Viscous, mouth-filling, ripe, with considerable extract. There is an almost medicinal quality to it—and docta, I am sick.

Outstanding, found this in the back of the cellar, classic fruit intensity of '09, bretty in the way you like Foillard, well myself anyway. Great stuff.

A classically done wine by a classic producer. This Morgon expression is more on the garden earth/mineral/floral spectrum than the fruit spectrum, which is fine by me. Dense and structured, was singing after an hour in the decanter.

Tee'd up for coq au vin at home. This has progressively gotten better with each bottle from the case. Sad to only have two bottles left.
