Very tightly wound, dominated by oak still on the nose, but wow. There was a pepper seed aroma that was interesting. This wine needs 10+ years easy. 30,000 vines per hectare!

Lots of love for Olivier Lamy. Not a big deal, but the toast level of the barrel *really* shows in the nose at the moment. Lamy owns all of the 8.5 hectares of the La Chatenières vineyard. Overall: opulent.
