Had a funky, barnyardy even a little sauerkraut nose to it but it blew off and it was great. Especially with BBQ.

Showing well. Firm tannin, evolving red fruit, and just a touch of old barn. Still a little tight. Would like to revisit in another 3-5 years.

Unfortunately, brettanomyces rules the day here. If you work hard enough, behind the band-aid stink lies elements of what makes Grand Cru, Grand Cru. Power, finesse, structure, and length.

Cherry pits, wet earth, flint. Fair amount of tannin left - needed every bit of a two hr decant. A bit glossy, not profound, but I shouldn’t quibble because overall an amazing QPR at <$100 for 18 yr old Burgundy

Big big Bourgogne. Still tight. Should have decanted for a while. Thanks Alex!

Beautiful color. Light , crisp , and hints of apples. Paired well with roasted chicken and asparagus.
