Gran Moraine takes its name from cataclysmic floods that occurred in the northern Willamette Valley of Oregon during the last ice age. Nice sweet stone fruit aromas with citrus and honey notes, aged for 14 months. On the palate apppe and pear flavors with a nutty citrus nuance, vivid acidity with good balance. Lingering finish ending with citrus mineral character. Very Nice!

Pouring the inaugural release v 2013 #granmoraine #chardonnay #YamhillCarlton #willamettevalley #oregonwine - uniquely beautiful aromas of pear, orange blossom & lemon zest highlighted by a hint of Mediterranean spice. A solid acidic backbone balances the pear and apple flavors perfectly, while layers of flinty minerality dance on the palate. Elegantly light, yet rich with depth. This is a euphoric and joyous Chardonnay that I absolutely love! Wow!

13.0% alc.
In a blind tasting I would easily have made a fool of myself and placed this in Burgundy (or an oaky Chablis).
A bit pricey for Oregon CH but I'm impressed.

This punches above its price point. Nice summer chard for those looking.
